Romana Soutus is a New York based actress, director and producer. She recently graduated with honors from Fordham University's prestigious Theatre Program with a focus on Performance. Her work has premiered in New York's La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club where she has been active for the past 3 years. In the Summer of 2014 she traveled with La MaMa to Spoleto, Italy for their International Director's Symposium. She is currently workshopping her next project set to premiere at La MaMa the Fall of 2015.


About Me

ROMANA SOUTUS is an Ukrainian/Argentinian actress, playwright, and producer based in New York City. She graduated in May 2014 cum laude from Fordham University's prestigious Theatre Program with a focus on Performance. For the last five years, Romana has performed and produced at the experimental theatre institution La MaMa in New York City. With La MaMa she developed her own work and with the resident theatre company Yara Arts Group, and participates in workshops with the Great Jones Repertory Company. Her plays include Hyena, which she performed at La MaMa, the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival and the United Solo festival, and Martyrs, set to premiere in La MaMa’s Spring 2018 season. Romana also serves as a Steering Member of La MaMa's Junior Committee and has worked with Belarus Free Theatre, Theatre MOTUS, Dijana Milošević of DAH Theatre, and playwright Catherine Filloux.
